HBO Max announced yesterday (15) that Morbius will arrive on the streaming platform on July 1, 2022. The production starring Jared Leto was released on March 31 of this year in theaters and brings references to the Spider-Man movie universe in MCU
“Determined to save his life and that of others who suffer the same fate, he makes a desperate gamble, finding a way not only to cure the disease, but to give it strength and unimaginable powers. All this at a terrible cost: an uncontrollable thirst for human blood. Although at first it appears to be a huge success, something dark is unleashed within it. Will good prevail over evil or will Morbius succumb to his new mysterious compulsions?
In addition to Leto, who plays Doctor Michael Morbius, the cast includes actors such as Matt Smith (Milo), Adria Arjona (Martine), Al Madrigal (Rodriguez) and Tyrese Gibson (Stroud). Check out the movie trailer below:
The film is directed by Daniel Espinosa, produced by Avi Arad, Matt Tolmach and Lucas Foster and the screenplay was written by Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless.
Morbius, which was recently published in its entirety as a GIF, grossed over $150 million at the worldwide box office and had a mixed reception. While the specialized critics did not mainly approve of the script, the film was more successful among the fans.
